Social, media & entertainment Interview Loops

At LinkedIn, Netflix and Spotify, data people help decide what to change in apps that hundreds of millions of people use. The interviews test exactly that. First there's a screen with SQL and product questions. Then come interviews on SQL and analysis, experiments and causal inference, the product, and culture. Each company has one step it's known for. Netflix asks about causal inference, proving what caused a change, in almost every interview, and it wants you to know when an A/B test won't work. Every interviewer has to say yes, so one doubt can end it. Spotify gives you a take-home that lasts a week, and you present it to a group. Most of its rejections happen at that presentation. LinkedIn is the most standard of the three, with SQL and product screens like most big tech companies.
