Marketplaces, gig & delivery Interview Loops

No industry here is more alike than this one. Uber, Lyft, DoorDash and Airbnb all start with a recruiter screen. Then there's a technical screen with timed SQL and a marketplace case. After that come four to five interviews: SQL and coding, experiments, a marketplace case, and behavioral. The experiments interview is the one that stands out. Riders and drivers, customers and couriers, guests and hosts all use the same market. That means you can't just split them into random groups. So you'll be asked directly about switchbacks, tests by city or region, and how one group affects another. Lyft's screen has no live coding. DoorDash matches you to a team before the last interviews, and two out of three of its interviews include a case. Uber adds a Bar Raiser. Whatever the role, every case has two sides, and fixing one side changes the other.
