Big Tech platforms Interview Loops

Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Apple interview for data roles in much the same way. There's a recruiter screen, a technical screen, and then four to six interviews. Each company also has one person or group with the final say. At Amazon it's the Bar Raiser, who can block a hire. At Microsoft it's the "As Appropriate" senior interviewer, who can outweigh good technical rounds. At Google it's the hiring committee. At Meta, you're hired for the company and not for a team. Apple is the opposite, and its interviews depend most on the team. The steps stay the same across roles. What changes is what's inside them. Analyst interviews ask you to read statistics. Engineering interviews ask about design instead. ML interviews add coding at the level of a software engineer.
