Anthropic Interview Loops
Anthropic’s interviews follow the same outline for every role. They start with a CodeSignal assessment: one problem across four levels, where failing a level blocks the next. The middle depends on the role. Research engineers get ML coding and debugging, distributed training design and a paper discussion. Software engineers get a concurrency stage and design for serving models. Every loop ends with a culture and values interview, which candidates and recruiters call a top reason for rejection. Mission alignment comes up from the first recruiter call. You can use Claude to prepare, but not in take-homes or live interviews unless you’re told otherwise.
